Anti-Idling Measure

LAUSD prevents unnecessary bus idling which limits exposure to diesel exhaust and reduces respiratory problems for our students.

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), exposure to diesel exhaust, even at low levels, is a serious health hazard and can cause respiratory problems such as asthma and bronchitis.

Signs reminding drivers of LAUSD’s anti-idling policy have been installed on the CHS campus.
