Every School Safe Presentations: This month’s Every School Safe Presentation for students will take place Tuesday in the Performing Arts Center. Ninth grade students will attend through their PE classes and 10th-12th grade students will go with their Science classes. Seniors not taking science will go attend through select electives. As a reminder, no food or drink except water is allowed in the PAC.

First Day of School: The first day of fall semester instruction begins this Monday, August 12. Select students who opted to take zero period start classes at 7:26 AM. All other students will begin school with period 1 at 8:30 AM. Student schedules are posted on Schoology and on the school website. We encourage students to write down or print out their schedules, if possible. We will also have schedules posted at tables throughout campus on Day 1. Magnet students without a period 1 class, with a “hole” in their schedule, or those who need assistance should go to the indoor Dining Hall for help. Student Handbook: The 2024-25 LAUSD Parent/Student Handbook is a great resource that outlines the policies and procedures that guide student life across the District. The Parent/Student Handbook is electronically available and can be downloaded from the Division School of Operations Website: https://www.lausd.org/Page/17131. Physical copies of the 2024-25 Parent/Student Handbook will be delivered to school sites in the next few weeks to be distributed to families. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Parent/Student Handbook.

Stay Hydrated: It will be Valley hot this week. We have water filling stations throughout campus so students are welcome to bring water bottles and replenish them, as needed.
