In 1967, a new L.A. band that was receiving air play, called the Doors, played at the gym at Cleveland. The cost of admission to students was the $5 activity card fee. I wasn't into sports at school, and, instead of seeing the Doors, I saved five bucks! I did, however, get to see the band the next year when they played at the Forum...for just THREE dollars (front row behind the stage).
