The 1890s really started to blossom in the area of science and technology. There were many inventions that actually turned the way of life around because it was so extraordinary at the time and even still so today. Most of the inventions that are listed are still being used today or altered in some way.

An American scientist (P.C. Chamberlain) along with a Swedish scientist (Svante Arrhebius) came up with the conclusion that carbon dioxide produced by burning coal, gas, and oil could cause what we today call "Global Warming". Also there were new diseases going around like, global influenza, but new vaccines and medicines were created in order to prevent and treat them. Also through science the Cathode-ray tube, X-rays, self powered model airplanes, and photoelectric cells were created. Peanut agricultural science was also founded in the time era.

They're several inventions discovered and created during this time also. A couple were minor but made big impacts, others were new types of food, some used for entertainment, a means to commute and have transportation, and some that helped the way we lived. The inventions of the 1890s varied in size, shape, and usage. The inventions were: zippers, typewriters, rubber tires for bikes, carburetor, diesel engines, radio, cold cereal, aspirin, movie projectors, thermite, bolt action rifle, motion picture cameras, photocopying machine, pencil sharpener, steel-framed skyscrapers, Jell-o, roll film, vacuum cleaner, first American subway was built, Dixie cups, peep shows, the escalator, gasoline powered cars (the early production of commercial vehicles), pianos, and the submarine.

The era had inventions that shape the way we live today. We use just about every one of these inventions in one way or another in the modern day. Without these inventions life would be much harder.
