SCIENCE IN THE PROGRESSIVE ERA

During the Progressive Era many accomplishments were focused in science. Most invention in this time were being created to help poverty and to conduct a massive flow of production, in the growth of "good" capitalism. Inventors of this time were; the Wright brothers, Henry Ford Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell and many others. New inventions of this were focused on making the life easier for people such as the telephone, the Photostat machine and the automobile. These invention made it much easier for businesses and city workers. Invention like the airplane, the special theory of relativity, and the Kodak brownie revolutionized the way people thought and made people question what humans can achieve.

The Wright brothers first successful airplane is one of the most fundamental breakthroughs for airplanes and to how people would travel in the years to come. The brothers began their inventions with a simple fixed- wing which took to the air but had no way of steering through the air. They later created the "three axis control", which allowed the pilot to steer the aircraft and to maintain its equilibrium in the air. The brothers were always focused on unlocking the secrets of control to conquer "the flying problem", rather than creating bigger engines to improve speed and power on their designs. Their creations made it possible for people to travel the world, fight wars and their invention are still in use today.

Albert Einstein was a man of many talents in the world of theoretical physics he consisted of many paths to the same soluble answer. One of his greatest theories is the special relativity which consist of the idea that all uniform motion is related. In addition special relativity incorporated the principle that the speed of light is the same for all inertia observes regardless of the state of motion of the source. It is a very advance in the way it is set up but this theory help start and complete many things in the science of physics, time dilated, relativity of simultaneity, length contraction, velocity-addition formula and equivalence of mass and energy (E = mc Square) all these were important in the theory and there are many more factors and elements in this theory.

As we keep growing as a nation we take ideas from the progressive era inventors and their inventions. The progressive era gave the world many inventions that are now items that are used in every day life and people don't consider how much work they put into their products. The progressive era gave us   with out a doubt some of the most brilliant minds.
