WHO ARE WE? WE ARE...
- 3 Classroom Aides
- 32 Peer Mentors
- 18 Peer Counselors
- 1 School Psychologist
WHAT DO WE DO?
(1) We work in a classroom:
- Talk about any problems that you may be facing
- Motivate you by setting realistic goals
- Discuss issues on drug addictions
(2) The psychologist helps you out by...
- Individual or group discussions
- Classroom visits
- Prevent the habits of too many absences, truancies, or suspensions
(3) We train you to become a peer counselor:
- First Semester: attend classes on Tuesdays afterschool 8-9 times and learn the basics to help you become a peer counselor
- Second Semester: get first clients and start helping them with their problems and show your leadership skills
TO EARN CREDITS, YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:
- Have your parent's permission to become a peer counselor
- Follow the service contract
- Follow all the reiquirements needed to be in this class
- Attend a total of 24 hours of afterschool training
- Attend 98 hours of service and weekly supervision with the School Psychologist

6/14/07 (11:15 AM) AAAH stupid Dreamweaver doesn't work! Can't upload the stuff so now I have to wait 30 something minutes so I can put the stuff online. OY!
6/13/07: Everything is up and on the website. The final exam thingy is on it and its all done pretty much, Just need some minor details, like the pictures of the peer counselors and maybe a few more profiles of them and everything will be good to go and it will all be done! :)
