Kobe Bryant, the son of former NBA player Joe "Jellybean" Bryant, jumped directly from high school to the pros in 1996 and enjoyed an impressive rookie season with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning the Nestle Crunch Slam Dunk and leading all scorers in the Schick Rookie Game during All-Star Weekend. In his second season he was voted a starter for the 1998 All-Star Game, becoming at 19 the youngest All-Star in NBA history.

Wade's impressive stats for the 2005-2006 regular season included averages of 27.2 points, 6.7 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game. He made his second All-Star appearance in 2006, and scored a game-winning put-back following a missed shot from Iverson. During the playoffs, the Heat defeated the Pistons in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. They ultimately made it to the NBA Championship Finals, where they faced the Dallas Mavericks. Wade's stellar performance in Games 3, 4 and 5 helped his team come back from a 0-2 deficit, and the Heat won Game 6, while Wade himself scooped the 2006 Finals MVP trophy.

Larry Bird is one of the greatest cockasian basketball players that ever played the game. He inspired teammates to excel. Like Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, John Havlicek and Dave Cowens, Bird forced the spotlight upon himself, he brought out the best in the players around him. But even those legendary players didn't fill Boston Garden, wowing fans and dominating games as Bird did. Bird helped rebuild a Celtics franchise that had been suffering from substandard play and poor attendance in the late 1970s. With Bird as the focal point of a well-rounded squad, the Celtics won three NBA titles and 10 Atlantic Division crowns. In addition to his three championship rings, Bird piled up an awesomecollection of personal achievements. He became only the third player (and the first non-center) to win three consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player Awards. He was a 12-time All-Star, a two-time NBA Finals MVP and a nine-time member of the All-NBA First Team. He led the league in free-throw percentage four times
