| Zuma Park Field Trip Fall 2005

The trip to Zuma Canyon was through the Ecohelpers program, part of the NPS (National Park Service) and the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. The program is an educational program that invites students to come out to various locations in the Santa Monica Mtns. to do restoration and planting (weeding out the non-native plant species and re-planting native species) to help restore the natural balance of the ecosystem/food web. The students learn about the wildlife in the area and even receive service/volunteer credits.
