Prom 2024: The Los Angeles Zoo

PROM TICKET SALES ARE CLOSED.
 
Click on the link above to add your name to the waitlist. Please read the information on the form. Tickets are not guaranteed and will be sold on an individual basis. Students who complete the google form will be notified of their status starting on April 29 and will have until the next day to purchase their ticket. 
 
PROM REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 7:30PM - ALL ATTENDEES MUST ARRIVE NO LATER THAN THAT TO BE ADMITTED TO THE PROM.
 
PROM TICKET DISTRIBUTION: Friday, May 17 on the quad during LUNCH ONLY. All students must show CURRENT CHS ID to pick up their pre-paid ticket. 
 
For students with excessive absences that are on stop clearance for PROM must see Ms. Papazian, in the Attendance Office. For students with detentions will not be permitted to attend PROM, see the Dean's Office for questions or concerns. Any student not cleared will not be permitted to attend PROM and will receive a refund.
 
**For ALL Guests - both CHS and NON-CHS students**:
All guests must be between 16-20 years old and ENROLLED IN SCHOOL. No exceptions.
If you are bringing a non-Cleveland guest, then YOU must have your absences (full day and period) cleared in order to get an administration's signature (Mrs. Slaughter's only) on the Guest Contract.
 
ALL GUESTS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO PURCHASE A TICKET:
1. Guest Form (for all guests EXCEPT Cleveland seniors) and Behavior Contract (ALL attendees).
2. A clear/legible copy of the guest's valid SCHOOL ID
3. $130 in cash or money order (NO CHECKS)
 
When you are purchasing your guest's ticket, YOU must bring your current CHS ID, and you must also have turned in YOUR Behavior Contract.
 
Venue
Prom will be at the Los Angeles Zoo on Saturday, May 18 from 6PM- 11PM.

All Cleveland students must have their current Cleveland ID. Bring the SAME photo identification used to purchase the ticket.  
 
PROM TICKET SALES ARE LIMITED -
If bringing a non-Cleveland guest or a Cleveland underclassmen, you must bring their completed Guest Form AND Behavior Contract when the ticket is purchased. Tickets are $130 (cash or money order only; no checks). Cleveland SENIORS do not need to complete guest form, but do need to have current Cleveland ID (Cleveland students bringing other Cleveland students, must have both students IDs to purchase tickets). If you are purchasing a prom ticket, then you must turn in your Behavior Contract for yourself and your guest (both CHS and non-CHS students).
 
All attendees, Cleveland students and guests, must complete a Prom Behavior Contract.
All guests EXCEPT Cleveland SENIORS must also complete a Prom Guest Contract.

Prom Ticket Distribution is Friday, May 17th, ONLY during LUNCH on the Quad.
Please bring your receipt and your CURRENT CLEVELAND ID to pick up the ticket(s).  If you purchased a guest ticket, you may pick up the ticket for your guest.  If there is no Guest Form and Behavior Contract on file you will not receive your prom ticket or your guest's prom ticket. Make sure to bring your CURRENT CLEVELAND ID and ticket to the prom. ALL GUESTS MUST HAVE PHOTO ID TO ENTER THE PROM. 
 
Prom Court Voting -
Prom Court Voting is during Senior Spirit Week (4/22-4/26), at lunch on the quad. Bring current Cleveland ID to vote for your senior prom court! Prom Court Candidates must participate in all Senior Spirit Week events.
 
*There shall be no campaigning within 100 feet of the voting polls!*
 
Forms will not be accepted the night of the prom. You must have all required documents turned in prior to Prom. 
 

Prom DRESS CODE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED

This is a FORMAL event. The following dress code will be applied at this event. If you have questions about your attire, please contact the Senior Board Advisers or Cleveland Administration BEFORE the event. In addition to the Cleveland Charter High School Dress Code, the following must be adhered to for prom:

 

For students wearing tuxedos, suits or slacks

·     No casual clothing such as: jeans, denim, sweats, shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, beach wear, flip flops, etc. 

·     No baggy pants

·     No transparent garments as replacements for tuxedos, suits or slacks.

·     Chains and/or canes are not permitted.

·     Baseball hats or gang affiliated headwear is not permitted.

·     No body painting of any sort as a replacement for clothes, even if a jacket is used to cover up the body painting

·     Proper shoes must be worn at all times

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For students wearing dresses

·     No low cut dresses, no plunging necklines, V-neck dresses shall be no lower than the top of your sternum

·     The midriff area must be covered by fabric.

·     Backless dresses may not fall below the waistline

·     No side exposure or high cut slits (this means no cut out holes or slits that expose your torso or leg above the thigh)

·     No mini dresses, mini-skirts or high cut hemlines (if you extend your arms straight down your sides, make sure that the length is lower than where the bottom of your middle fingers touches your side)

·     No transparent garments as replacement for dresses

·     Clothing may not have any cutouts that reveal any area required to be covered.

·     Dresses must be acceptable without any accompanying cover-ups.

·     No casual clothing such as: jeans, denim, sweats, shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, beach wear, flip flops, etc. 

·     Chains and/or canes are not permitted.

You will be turned away by the Administration if don't meet the standards of the prom dress code on the prom behavior contract.
 

AGE REQUIREMENT

Cleveland has an age restriction for prom guests. All prom attendees must be between 16 and 20 years of age. all guests must be enrolled in school. There are no exceptions.
